How to be festive without being cheesy
ABOUT
Navyboot is a Zurich based brand, known for its fine leather shoes, sleek accessories and well-tailored clothing. The brand was born out of a New York trip where its founder was inspired by the shore leave shoes of sailors. He brought the idea back to Switzerland in 1991, created his first shoe model and voila! The rest is history.
CHALLENGE
It was that time of the year and NAVYBOOT was looking. Not for gifts, but to let people know about the great ones they’re offering. They were looking for a campaign to raise awareness for their fall winter collection around holiday season. Selected products, geared towards gifting, should be especially highlighted. But „don`t make it cheesy!“ they said. Considered done.
SOLUTION
We developed and produced a 360° holiday campaign in the form of a digital advent calendar. That’s right, that thing you loved so much as a child (or still do today, at least we do). The visual concept of the campaign consisted of festive shots, produced by photographer Cyrill Matter. To break the pattern, we had 3D-artist Linus Zoll develop product animations in a corresponding mood. This inserted an element of surprise. It also allowed us to feature extra video content on Facebook and plan the campaign in a distinguishable pattern on Instagram. We then planned and seeded the content across all social and selected digital channels of the brand. Last but not least, a corresponding copy was developed to further underline the campaign theme.
RESULTS:
When we did the post-campaign analyses in January we realised Christmas came early this year. It showed very good impressions and interactions as well as solid engagement.
